This is the certified module for wireless microcontroller with built in Wi-Fi connectivity from Texas instruments. It is upgraded with 256kb of ram and an optional 1mb of serial flash. The subsystem supported by Rom that includes a powerful crypto engine for fast, secure and long live internet connection with 256 bit encryption. By the help of these two physical separated on chip MCUs all internet logical layers and Wi-Fi could be run.

According to TI this is a part of the second generation of internet on a chip family that introduces new features and capabilities that show more reliability on the device and assuring the powerful connectivity of things to the internet. These are such capabilities:

> Wi-Fi AP connection with up to four stations

The CC3220MODA module has four different module variants:
CC3220MODS, CC3220MODAS includes 256kb of ram for code and data, also includes an integral antenna.
CC3220MODSF, CC3220MODASF includes and 256kb of ram for code and data 1mb of serial flash also includes an integral antenna.

The modules have also many security features for IP, boot and file system authentication and encryption. The module consists of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, low energy, sub-1 GHz and host MCUs. Commonly shared, easy to use device from simple link platform where you can add any combination of devices from the portfolio into your design.
